Bay Area Division
Weekly Update
9/27/09 – 10/4/09
Hey B.A.D.,
B.A.D. is selling "Got DeMolay?" t-shirts for $10 each. $5 of each shirt will go to the NCDA Philanthropic Society. The shirts are black with white writing and currently we have adult sizes M - XXL. We have had requests for smaller and larger sizes, so if they sell quickly, we will reorder. We will have the shirts at Grand Master's Class, so anyone interested in getting a shirt reserved to purchase as GMC, let me know. We premiered them at Pleasanton's Italian Dinner Friday night (which was great for those of you that missed it) and they were a big hit.
Convention 2009 is just about 7 weeks away! We still need some great cheers to show everyone that we are not only the best Division, but the most spirited! The B.A.D. officers will choose the best cheer and that person will be the "Spirit God" for B.A.D. Turn them into us by GMC so we can get things ready for Convention!
Grand Master's Class is this weekend! Not only will we get some new brothers at this event, but we will also be voting on the leadership of our Jurisdiction for the upcoming year. Lunch is free. Dinner is $5, the Dance is $7 or Both is $10. Here is the run down:
9:00 AM Orientation for New Members and Parents
9:30 AM Escorts
10:00 AM Degrees & Sweetheart Program
1:00 PM Lunch
2:00 PM Officer Elections
6:00 PM Dinner
7:30 PM Sweetheart's Ball (Formal Attire)
7:30 PM D.A.D. Training
Hope to see you all there.
Also, as some of you have heard, we have canceled the Boat Dance. We did not receive enough registrations this year to make it a successful event. For those of you that already purchased tickets, we will contact you to see if you want us to return your checks or shred them. We will set a date earlier for next year and hopefully it will be a better date for everyone.
B.A.D.'s Sweetheart Ball Honoring Miss Roxanne Colton is still happening. It will still be on October 17th from 8 to 11 in Alameda and now that it is not on a boat, some of you that had time constraints due to other activities, will hopefully be able to attend. The order form is attached, so please get your tickets now, so we know how many people to expect. There are overnight accomodations for anyone that needs them and there will be a $5 breakfast the next morning for anyone that wants to attend. All proceeds will go to the Philanthropic Project.
This Week:
10/8 - B.A.D. Visistation to Santa Cruz, meeting starts at 7:30pm
10/10 - Grand Master's Class (see above)
